interactive voice response,IVR in todays world it has reached all the places from mobiles to banks and so on.The IVR are used in many industries for efficient management of the calls.using IVR we can do almost anything like for product enquirers are complains are any other information we can use IVR.

IVR has used in Virtual receptionist where it is used for remind and display the information to the user using the voices or text so this kind of application are developed using the IVR technologies.
IVR have wide ranges of uses in our daily life say when you call for a Mobile call center this will take a IVR Solution where it will give you menu in voices so depending the response we give,it will redirect to some other Menu.
IVR are developed based on the workflow of the system so we will see how should we take the workflow of the system.
Let say our requirement is to create a system where it should handle call and it will should redirect to the to particular department.we have a caller tone selection which has different categories so if we have pop,rock,melody,classic,devotional and so on.
we have five categories
1.Pop,
2. Rock,
3.Melody,
4.Classic
5.Devotional
so above are the main menus where a user will select the categories of his choice.
After that we have play the prompt for user as following
Please press 1 for Pop
Please press 2 for Rock,
Please press 3 for Melody,
Please press 4 for Classic,
Please press 5 for Devotional,
So user will select any one of this option if not we will play another prompt as Invalid option and ask him to press * or # so go back previews menu.
so if user have selected a valid option than we have to prompt the Sub menus as following
Please press 1 for 123
Please press 2 for xyz,
Please press 3 for supersong,
Please press 4 for abc,
So user will select any one of this option if not we will play another prompt as Invalid option and ask him to press * or # so go back previews menu.
So if the user has select the valid option than we will prompt the please press 1 to confirm if he press the 1 key than request is sent the billing server of the operator so the amount will be debited from the user prepaid account.
so user will input the required option after listening to menu.
IVR can be developed using different technologies like as following:
1.Some API from C++ from CTI manufactures.
2.Using Php With VXML,CCML
3.Using Microsoft VBvoice and Velocity.
4. Some New tools are Envox,Invox,Osidail,XtendIVR and omniVox3d.
